A complete renovation shaped by light, landscape and considered design.
The brief was to transform this Somerset barn conversion into a home that felt calm, connected to its surroundings and designed for modern family life. Rather than rushing the process, the renovation evolved naturally over several months, allowing each decision to be carefully considered and every space to find its purpose.
One of the most significant changes was relocating the kitchen from the east side of the barn to the south-facing garden room. By embracing the natural light and views beyond, what was once a secondary living space became the heart of the home, a place designed for gathering, everyday living and quiet moments alike.
Throughout the project, inspiration was drawn from the surrounding Somerset landscape, allowing a soft, natural palette and tactile materials to shape the interior. Carefully chosen vintage finds sit comfortably alongside contemporary pieces, creating a home that feels layered, balanced and deeply connected to its setting.
